I’m a fan of the flight search engine Kayak — it’s slickly designed and seems to find genuinely good deals by searching a bunch of different airlines and a few select online agents. Still, both last summer and this summer, in the end the cheapest deal I could find to fly from the UK to Vancouver was with ebookers.com, which seems to undercut the airlines published fares by a considerable margin. Moreover, it’s well-designed too, especially the final itinerary page and email it sends.
Finding a cheap international flight these days is an exercise in frustration and [im]patience, but score one for ebookers in my books.
