It’s no secret that a lot of people dislike OS X Leopard’s “Stacks”. I’m a Dock-on-the-side kind of guy, and Stacks don’t even work in that mode — you get what I guess I’d call “Boxes” instead. The icons are too big, there’s not enough space for filenames and, well, generally, it’s just not that great. Enter Quay, a simple no-nonsense app that replicates the older-pre-Leopard behaviour, where you just get a simple, nested list of files. Lovely.
